Terrible's Lakeside Casino

Berger Devine Yaeger was selected by Terrible Herbst Gaming to provide design services for the renovation of its existing casino vessel and land-based entertainment building in Osceola, Iowa.

The casino renovation included the addition of an escalator, relocation of the cashier/cage area, and relocation of the Players Club. Existing bars and rest rooms were redesigned and new finishes, lighting, and signage were provided throughout the gaming floors.

The land-based renovations included the demolition of the existing bar, buffet, and steak house, and replacement with a new 288-seat combined buffet, bar, and entertainment facility. Renovation of the kitchen and dish washing areas were included. Other land-based renovations included a gift shop and renovation of restrooms and galleria areas.

The project also included the addition of parking areas, upgrading of the RV Park, renovation of the existing convenience store, new landscaping, and the addition of a 152 foot high landmark “Terrible’s” pylon sign.
