 Independence, MO—Fire Station #3
The City of Independence commissioned an additional fire station using the prototype plans previously designed by BDY staff. This state-of-the-art, 2.5 million dollar fire station is a 7,500 sq. ft., three-bay, energy efficient building that replaces the outdated one-bay fire station built in the 1950's. The new fire station incorporates a back-in apparatus bay and unique landscaping to fit the small site. Durable materials such as brick and concrete tile roof were used as a feature of the design that accommodates two companies and compliments the residential neighborhood. Fire Station #3 was just completed.
