Joe E. Williams joins BDY

Joe E. Williams, AIA, has joined Berger Devine Yaeger Architects as a Vice President. Williams comes to BDY with 19 years of experience in the field of architecture. His experience encompasses all phases of project development, and specifically includes new construction and renovation of municipal, corrections and fire fighting facilities, as well as large commercial and institutional developments.

He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1990. Joe also owned and operated WBI Architects, in Independence, Missouri from 2002-2008 before merging with Berger Devine Yaeger. As part of WBI Architects, Williams obtained and renewed ongoing architectural contracts for the City of Independence, Missouri; Clay County, Missouri; and Johnson County, Kansas.

He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Kansas City Chapter (AIA), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Independence Chamber of Commerce, Independence Council on Economic Development, and is on the Board of Directors for the Fairmount Carlisle Redevelopment Corporation.

At BDY, Joe will be responsible for business development, project management and mentoring staff.
